Spiritual Life

Working with Conflict
We see conflict in all areas of life, but what can we do to stop conflict from becoming destructuve and harmful?

How do I know I am Real?
What we perceive as the real world can be no more than a representation of "what might be out there" patched together by our mind. What does that mean for us and what does it say about consciousness?

The Irrationality of Human Behaviour
A personal story of irrational decision making, which could have resulted in my death. What happened and how could it be?

Human Nature. This article examines the old debate over nature and nurture. Is it our genes that make us or our environment; or how do they both work together; or is there another factor that has been left out of the equation.

Delusions.  When life seems hard we often try to cope by creating delusions about ourselves, those around us and the world in general. We find ways to avoid seeing things that are in fact obvious. While it helps us cope, it brings many other problems to our life.  How do we then turn to see life as it really is and still remain positive? One of my best articles yet!!

Archetypes are shared mental patterns derived from social roles of our ancestors. How can we use them to gain a better understanding of ourselves and learn to use archetypes to help acheve our goals in life?

Fear is an important emotion that helps us recognise when we are in danger, but all to often we allow our fear to work against us allowing us to avoid facing parts of ourselves we would wish to hide. How do we work with our fear, so it can be our ally?

A Human Map We know what a map of a piece of land looks like, and we use it to gain much useful information about the land. What would a map of a person look like and what might we learn from it? This map of a person looks at four domensions to a person, the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.

Responsibility. If we have free will, life cannot be predetermined and we cannot be in full control of what happens in our lives. We nevertheless can take responsibility for our lives and still achieve our goals in life.
